Board of Adjustment

Description

The Board of Adjustment has the power to hear and decide on appeals from administrative decisions and variances from the provisions of the zoning requirements. The Board of Adjustment makes the final decision on items that come before it; decisions are not passed on to the City Council for final approval.

Note: The Board consists of seven (7) members appointed by the City Council. A vote of the majority of all the members of the Board (4 out of 7) shall be necessary to authorize any variance from the terms and conditions of the Zoning Ordinance.
